Following a successful career in photojournslism i was at a loose end as to what to do in retirement. I had been a Short Wave Listener for many years and my father had been a ham. So in 2013 i decided to take up the hobby and gained my Foundation call on july 9 2013. This was followed by my Standard call on 17 september 2013 and finally after a years study my Advanced callsign on April 9 2015. I work quite a bit of DX, am active in most contests and love digital modes.
