Quarter wave antenna – from junk

Recently Rob VK2FAAA found himself with a few minutes to fill in. So he decided to make up a two metre quarter wave antenna. He scratched around in his shed and came up with the lid of an old barbecue which he used as the base. For the antenna he used old copper tubing that was laying around. The SWR is 1.1:1

27/9/18 – Rob got inspired and made up another one; this time with an old flower pot stand. Photos below!

Thanks for sending this little gem in Rob!
